On a different note from things so far, Etta Baker passed away this week at the age of 93. NPR an interview with her and Taj Mahal earlier this year. Although she didn't produce many albums, her first in 1991, she influenced generations of musicians and musicians to come.
I encourage you to listen to her music. It wasn't top 40, it was down to earth, porch sittin' music, nothing to make it fancy or a studio quality production, but pure and simple music from the heart and soul. Music that sticks to your memory and spirit. We should all have people in our lives like her. Thank you Etta for being and doing all these years.
