Advisories about Google map display and and about the Carbon River Road.

Note.-- The snowmobile season is closed throughout the NP. It will reopen later this winter when there is sufficient snow on the roads for snowmobiles. see NP Information.

Guide

The snowmobile routes are catagorized as:

   Start of route, The start of the snowmobile area or route in the NP;

   Advisory point, A location where the route directs snowmobiles to specific roads ;

   End of route, The end of the snowmobile area or route in the NP;

   Point of interest, A location of interest or advisory about the snowmobile route or area.

Information

Note about .-- The "information window" for each snowmobile area has the following information:

    (1) the snowmobile area or route,
    (2) description and highway,
    (3) latitude, longitude and elevation,
    (4) notes.

This should provide sufficient information to locate the snowmobile area or route and with the other Websites, linked in the list, and books should provide enough informaton to determine if you want to find it.

Advisories

Snowmobilers should remember to follow the rules, share the road and be aware of cross-country skiiers and snowshoers on the roads who aren't travelling as fast or can move off the road as quickly to avoid accidents.
