Below is a table for sunrise and sunset and moonrise and moonset for Paradise, Mt. Rainier NP. For the month of September 2010 and the azimuth of sunrise and sunset, the sunrise moves south through due east from 77 to 94 degree true north, which is east-northeast to east, and sunset moves south through due west from 283 to 266 degrees true north, which is west-northwest to westward during the month, respectively.

The table of moonrise and moonset azimuth for Seattle is available for September 2010. The difference between Seattle (shown in table) and Mt. Rainier is relatively minor and can be adjusted in the field.

Sun and Moon times

Please note that while the sun/moon rise and set times are correct, the light and actual visibility of sunrise and sunset varies due to Mt. Rainier itself, sun/moonrise later on the west side and sun/moonset earlier on the east side. In addition the local terrain around your location will change the light and actually visibility of each.
